NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the City Council of El Campo will be held at City Hall - Council Chambers (315 E. Jackson St., El Campo, Texas, 77437) at 6:00 PM on February 23, 2026. The purpose of the meeting will be to review and consider taking official action on the following agenda items:

At this time, any person with city-related business, not scheduled on the agenda, may speak to the City Council. In compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council is limited to making a statement of specific factual information in response to the inquiry, or reciting existing policy, but may not discuss, deliberate, or take any action on any item. Each speaker will be limited to 3 minutes. The issue may be placed on a future agenda for consideration.

1. Resolution R2026-10 Awarding 2026 Avenue I Sanitary Sewer Improvements to Ram Rod Utilities, LLC in the amount of $476,998.78 and Authorizing the City Manager or her Designee to Execute All Related Documents and/or Amendments

2. Resolution R2026-11 Authorizing the Submission of a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for the Downtown Revitalization Program and Authorizing the City Manager or Their Designee to Execute All Subsequent Related Documents

3. Consider approval of CDC funding, in an amount not to exceed $400,000, for an Infrastructure Construction Grant to Western Smokehouse Partners

CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The City Council may go into Executive Session regarding any item posted on the Agenda as authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. Notice is hereby given that the City Council may go into Executive Session in accordance with the following provision of the Government Code: 551.071 Consultation with Attorney, 551.072 Deliberation Regarding Real Property, 551.073 Deliberation about gifts and donations, 551.074 Personnel Matters, 551.076 Deliberations about Security Devices or Security Audits and 551.087 Economic Development. No final action will be taken in Closed Executive Session.
